When you use The 1-Minute Method, we collect and process the following personal data:

• Account information: email address, password (encrypted by Firebase Authentication)
• Profile information: first name, last name, gender, date of birth
• Company information: company code and association (if applicable)
• Usage data: exercise completion logs, exercise ratings, mood check scores (before and after exercises), wellbeing check responses, feedback text
• Preferences: language preference, reminder times and days, timezone
• Technical data: consent timestamp, account creation date, last active date

3. Purpose and Legal Basis

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

• To provide the app service and personalise your experience (legal basis: performance of contract and consent)
• To track your exercise progress and provide feedback (legal basis: performance of contract)
• To send local reminder notifications at your chosen times (legal basis: consent)
• To compile anonymised company-level wellbeing statistics for your employer (legal basis: legitimate interest)
• To improve the app and its content (legal basis: legitimate interest)

You provide your consent when creating your account. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services, with data hosted in the EU (europe-west1, Belgium). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authenticated users and authorised administrators.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently deleted, including your profile, exercise logs, mood checks, wellbeing responses, and feedback.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication: for secure account management (Google LLC)
• Cloud Firestore: for data storage (Google LLC, EU region)
• Firebase Storage: for exercise media content (Google LLC)
• Google Fonts: for app typography (fonts are fetched from Google servers)

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. Google processes data in accordance with their privacy policy and data processing terms.

7. Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Right of access: you can view your data in the app
• Right to rectification: you can update your profile information in the app
• Right to erasure: you can delete your account and all associated data
• Right to data portability: you can request an export of your data by contacting us at info@1minutsmetoden.dk
• Right to withdraw consent: you can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account
• Right to lodge a complaint: you can file a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet)

8. How to Exercise Your Rights

You can exercise most of your rights directly in the app:

• View and edit your profile: Settings > Profile
• Delete your account: Settings > Account > Delete Account

9. Cookies and Local Storage

The web version of the app uses local storage to maintain your session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
